This access statement does not contain personal opinions as to our suitability for those with access needs, but aims to as accurately as possible describe the facilities and services that we offer our guests.
Introduction: 3 Avalon Buildings is located in the centre of Glastonbury. One of six red brick victorian terraced houses with walkway access off Northload Street and vehicular parking and walkway access of Monmouth Close (a dead end cul de sac). There is an old flagstone pathway to the cottage.
The cottage has three first floor bedrooms and on the ground floor is a level hallway, sitting room, breakfast kitchen and rear bathroom with a narrow entrance.

Car Parking and arrival: On arriving in Monmouth Close (by car) you will see a 5 bar metal farm gate on the left hand side with ‘private’ sign. Please enter into this gravelled area and park in the central bay with the no. 3 marking on the wall. There are three steps to a 50cm pathway between the vegetable plots within the carpark which takes you to the flagstone pathway across the fronts of the cottages to No. 3.
There is no street lighting in the carpark. A limited solar light is located by the three steps from the carpark to the flagstone pathway leading to the cottage. The flagstone pathway is uneven with an average 80cm flagstone width plus 50cm gravel .
The pedestrian flagstone pathway access of Northload Street is reasonably level and well lit with a street light close to the entrance gate 98cm width. On approach via the 80cm garden gate to the cottage a sensor light illuminates the front door and immediate pathway.
Arrival: A welcome folder is located in the Kitchen with instructions on the workings of the cottage, product and appliance information and instruction. Within the tall cabinet in the Sitting Room are numerous tourist attraction leaflets and within the welcome folder are some useful suggestions and top tips on what to see and do.

Front garden: Front garden with mid height brick wall boundary with courtesy wood fencing offering a degree of privacy. Wrought iron above waist height pedestrian gate 80cm. Concrete pathway level to front door with 1cm wood threshold.
Level small lawn with flower border with shrubs and roses and large camellia plant. 2 Seater stone bench.
Rear courtyard: 73cm door opening from inner hall

LIGHTING THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY: Wall switches and sockets throughout. Downlights in sitting room. Spotlights on racks to kitchen. Downlights to bathroom. Standard pendants to landing and bedrooms.
Gas central heating controlled by turn dial thermostat in the Hallway.
COURTESY PRODUCTS: Cotton bath towels for each guest. Cotton bath robes for each guest.
Natural locally produced body wash/shampoo/condition and hand wash
Organic sachet tea & filter coffee. Cube sugar. Semi skimmed organic milk
Biscuits. Local produced bottle of alcoholic cider.
Clothes washing liquid. Hardwood logs, fire lighters and matches.
TRANSPORT LINKS: The nearest bus will arrive/depart outside the Town Hall in the centre of the town. It is approximately 320 metres and is a level walk (from Northload Street).
Buses run to local towns, Street, Wells and onward from Wells bus station.
A Berry’s (private coach co) runs daily a service to London Hammersmith
