No. 3 is accessed from either the private parking area or directly from Northload Street via a gated flagstone pathway that services the pretty terrace of six properties.
An enclosed cottage style garden leads to the period front door and into the flagstone hallway.
Off the hallway lies the comfortable sitting room with old polished floor boards, wooden window shutters and wood burning stove; furnished with a vintage leather chesterfield sofa and two indulgent contemporary armchairs for cosy nights in by the fire. A Yamaha music system with CD and DAB radio featuring blue tooth, USB and iPod (30 pin) connectivity provides quality audio from a variety of devices whilst a Sony digital Smart TV and broad band speeds of up to 19mb allow for a multitude of entertainment options.
The friendly well equipped kitchen is to the rear of the property and features a flag stone floor, handmade kitchen cupboards and big butler sink, gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster and a wide range of cooking utensils. A lovely old scrub top farmhouse table provides seating for four (six at a push!) and there is plenty of quality crockery and cutlery to enjoy your creative culinary creations. Or maybe just reheat a takeaway.
The back door of the cottage leads to an intimate and private rear courtyard with contemporary patio furniture and the utility space housing the boiler, Bosch washing machine and condenser dryer. If absolutely necessary there is also an ironing board and iron.
All three bedrooms feature wooden floorboards, window shutters, quality sprung mattresses, hypo allergenic duvets, white cotton linen, warm throws and plenty of plump pillows.
The master bedroom on first floor includes a luxurious UK king size bed and is located at the front of the cottage overlooking residential property. The view is framed by the towers of St. John’s and St. Benedict’s churches peeping above the rooflines.
The single bedroom is also located at the front of the cottage on the first floor and offers a restored old hospital single metal bed.
The former second bedroom has been converted into a sumptuous bathroom with freestanding central bath, original floorboards and shuttered windows providing for a decadent bathing experience.
Jute covered Stairs from the landing lead to a converted attic bedroom with sloping ceilings, ‘lime washed’ floorboards, UK king sized bed and velux skylights.
At the back of the cottage on the ground floor is situated a walk in style shower room offering mains shower, contemporary stone sink, WC and flagstone floor.
